Our Library

The Canadian Polish Research Institute Library is a reference library containing over 3,000 works; the majority of which are rare and/or out-of-print volumes. We also have photographs, video recordings, sound recordings, and artefacts. Our collection reflects our mandate-to collect and preserve the history of Poles in Canada. Hence, our holdings comprise the publications by Polish Canadians, and about Polish Canadians-their historical, economic, sociological, religious, and cultural development in Canada from the mid-19 th century to the present.

Our volunteers are currently in the process of cataloguing our holdings, which can be found at CPRI’s books | LibraryThing. Please be sure to browse our holdings on a regular basis, as we are working to make our collection publicly accessible.

If you would like to request digital scans or photocopies of a work or works, please contact us at [email protected].
