It is with great sadness that the CPRI has learned about the passing of Markus Hess. Marcus was the founder of Black Ribbon Day, a global demonstration against human rights violations by the Soviet Union. The CPRI had the great fortune of collaborating with Markus on the book, Black Ribbon Day (2014). We send our deepest condolences to his family, his friends, and to the larger Estonian community for their loss.
